Whisky Glenrothes Sherry Cask

Tax included

Glenrothes Sherry Cask is a whiskey aged in sherry barrels which gives it a more fruity and creamier flavor than American equivalents.

The Glenrothes Whiskey Sherry Cask was introduced into the central range of the Speyside distillery in 2014, and is definitely one of Sherry's lovers, as this is Glenrothes' first individual malt to fully ripen in Sherry casks. In addition, due to its characteristics, it has a unique flavor.

The barrels are mostly made of European wood, which contains a greater amount of flavors than its American equivalent giving it a characteristic flavor. Specifically, highlight the resinous character and nuts on which the notes of Jerez are based.

Tasting Note:

Nose: stuffed raisins, candied ginger and crispy cookies sprinkled with sugar. Crushed walnuts and oak appear later.

Mouth: flamed orange zest and cinnamon, with more ginger and spices from the barrel at the front. This quickly turns into juicy sultanas and raisins, with perhaps a small scroll of earthy smoke.

Final: Brown sugar, citrus peel and nutmeg last at the end.

Recommendations: Serve alone, with ice or combined
