Laphroaig quarter cask is a Scotch whiskey aged for five years in bourbon barrels, then moved to smaller barrels for several months which gives it sweeter and softer notes.
Tasting:
Nose: Oily and buttery nose, with toffee, nutmeg, American walnut, baking soda, rum and raisin ice cream and grated.
Palate: great attack of sweetness, in fact it is an explosion of sweetness, with heat of hot pepper, TCP, sweet cereals and a touch of cola syrup.
Finish: Medium, but it becomes fruity, with custard and cigar smoke.
